Sanjay Lavakare made a career shift from a 16-year IT background to pursue painting full-time. His recent artwork is inspired by the distinct characteristics of Koramangala, influenced by conversations with local residents. Initially part of the IT scene in Bengaluru, Sanjay followed his true passion for art after realizing it was his calling. Despite being offered a sabbatical by his company, he opted to dedicate himself entirely to painting. Regularly participating in the Chithra Santhe art event, Sanjay showcases his latest piece capturing the essence of Koramangala. In collaboration with his former neighbors, Ashish and Ritu, who still reside on L Street in Koramangala, they gathered feedback from the neighborhood to identify 50-60 unique elements specific to the area. While some of these elements are clearly depicted in his painting, others require a bit of interpretation.
